No longer standing, all housing on street was demolished to make way for municipal buildings.
This is a view of Pynchon St., which had started out as a quiet residential street in the 1800s, but by 1920 had been almost totally redeveloped.
On Rear: Dear Emma. This picture is the street where I lived. Nearly all the streets look like that here. I have a fine back porch where I can look down the river, it is a cool spot. Write soon. as ever, Meta.
On Front: 75 Pynchon St. Springfield Mass
Dear Emma. How are you feeling now, often thought of you, wondered why you never wrote. I am keeping house now, and have a very nice place, it seems like old times to see my furniture again. Let me hear from you soon. With love, Meta.
