151 Maple Street
Single Family Residence
This house is no longer standing. It was town down around 1910 to make way for an apartment block.
Although there is nothing on the card to directly identify this house, this house is so grand that it could only exist in a few locations in Springfield. The main clue is the awnings on the house to the left; they are identical to the awnings on the Beebe house, which was at 143 Maple St. The porch spindles, porch lattice, shingles, and foundation also match the Beebe house. The footprint of the house also matches the footprint of 151 Maple St. as shown on the 1899 city map.
